Goals Part Two

Goals Part Two

So far so good we set our goals. we know what we want and we are on our way. We have already discussed the fact that goals give us direction. They are like the rudder of a boat they tell us what we are moving. We also talked about the fact that they provide motivation This is as important as direction. If you the direction to take to go to New York but you never turn the car on it means nothing. So simply put motivation is what makes you put the key in the ignition or one foot in front of the other.

The next thing a goal will do is show you the next step. Unlike our trip to New York we can not lay out every step of the way. Just like our trip to New York many unexpected things will come up. You will stumble along the way, you will learn new techniques and meet new people.

You will be challenged and you will not always be happy. Your goal will cause you to think differently you friends will argue with you and disagree with you. Some may stop talking to you. Why? Because your new goals challenge their status quo and you will certainly change.

Your goal will keep you on course. Their is nothing worse than heading on a trip like our trip to New York and endings up in New Jersey. Well they both start with New right? So a goal will keep you on course that may have sounded ridiculous but think of this. You have set for yourself a goal of becoming the head of some department or company. you take a job a decent one but still all you want to do is stay their for 3 to 5 year get some experience and your out the door.

Fourteen years later your working in the same company making maybe six dollars and hour more than when you originally started and wondering what happened. This happens on a daily basis people wake up and find that they have put down roots somewhere they never wanted to be. Now heres the good piece of news you can get where your going no matter where you are presently at. This means we can stop feeling sorry for ourselves or stop being snarky with the person who made it while you still at the start line. You truly have a chance to make your goals come true.

Having a goal will give you a reason to celebrate. It will make your life brighter. When you set your goals set a big goal but set little ones too. This way when you accomplish a goal you can celebrate. Maybe buy yourself that item of clothing you always wanted but never thought you could afford. Upgrade your car or actually pay that school loan off. Take your significant other out to that restaurant or club they have always wanted to visit. And of course the more you accomplish the more you will be able to do and the happier you will be.

Heres the thing about a goal it will allow you to continue to grow and achieve. When we think we have nothing left to do or accomplish life becomes bitter and to some not worth living anymore. To others they just become mean and eventually old. I truly believe a goal keeps us all young no matter what the date of our birth was.

So what every you do dont give up. Set your goal, find your motivation, discover each new step in the process. Keep on course and celebrate each victory because you my friend deserve it..

Abdominal Workout For Cycling

Abdominal Workout For Cycling Abdominal Workout For Cycling

To improve the stamina, flexibility, control and balance during cycling, the cyclist has to undergo ten drills for core strength workout. Placing his feet flat on the ground, he should execute crunch motions followed by his legs turned at 90 degrees above the ground. He should perform reverse crunch by holding his legs in 90 degrees crunch position. At the half-way position of a normal crunch, he should spread his legs farther from his abdominals and move inwards and repeat this exercise.

In a normal crunch position, he should straighten his bent leg 3 inches off the ground from the 90 degrees, alternatively. He should place his left ankle on his right knee and crunch to the left. This exercise is to be repeated with the right ankle on his left foot. He should lie down on his back, move his legs in a circular motion like pedaling the cycle. He should maintain the abdominal crunch and move his torso to the sides, rhythmic with his leg movements. The cyclist should lie down flat on his back, crossing one leg below the other looking like 4 and crunching his abdomen on the side of the crossed leg. He should repeat this abdominal workout with the other leg.

Triceps extensions of the arms improve the cyclists ability to control the handle bar during cycling. The cyclist holds the bar bell or a light weighted object with his bent arms at the back of his head and moves the weight up and down for 2 sets of 15 repetitions. For extraordinary biceps curls, the cyclist catches a barbell in each hand and stands with the palms directed outwards. He curls the barbell up and down with one arm bent at elbow and alternates the movement with the other arm. This exercise is done in 2 sets for 15 repetitions with both arms.

Exercises on dip bars help the cyclist develop biceps and triceps of his arms. This is also an abdominal workout. It also improves the shoulder muscles. The cyclist should stand in the gap between the parallel/dip bars and lift himself up with his both hands straightened on each bar. Now, he should remain suspended in air with his legs at 90 degrees and lower his body and reach a position where his arms are also bent at 90 degrees. These movements are taken up in 2 sets for 10 repetitions. The cyclist should perform pushups to develop his back and shoulder muscles. He should vary his hand position after each group of activity to exercise different muscles. Initially, he should keep his hands far apart followed by normal position of the hands and for the third set; he can hold his hands closer to each other. Each set of 20 pushups should be repeated three times.

Advert Communications bags ad rights for Delhi Metros civil structure on Gurgaon stretch

Advert Communications bags ad rights for Delhi Metros civil structure on Gurgaon stretch Advert Communications bags ad rights for Delhi Metros civil structure on Gurgaon stretch

Delhi based Advert Communications has bagged the ad rights for a period of five years on civil structures, including via ducts, bridges, retaining walls and exterior walls, on the Qutub Minar-Gurgaon stretch of Delhi Metro. Other agencies in the fray included NS Publicity, Big Street, Pioneer Publicity, Prithvi Associates, Shalimar Advertisers, Laqshya and Traffic Media.

Confirming the development to afaqs!, Piyush Tiwari, director, Advert Communications, says, The first and the foremost plan is to get the contract signed with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation DMRC. In contracts of DMRC, you dont get a long time to build the inventory, so we have started working towards the plan for the fabrication of the media. Our priority is to execute world class fabrication of ad displays.

The fully elevated line from HUDA City Centre to Guru Dronacharya Metro Station passes through the residential and institutional areas of Gurgaon. It has five stations - HUDA City Centre, IFFCO Chowk, MG Road, Sikanderpur and Guru Dronacharya metro station. The stretch has a total outdoor advertisement area of 600 square meters on the civil structure.

According to DMRC, by 2011, this line is expected to serve 1.8 lakh commuters every day.

For the Gurgaon stretch of Delhi Metro, the agency is looking at corporate advertisers. Also, it is expecting a lot more direct clients without routing the business through other agencies as the stretch is undoubtedly one of the most premium stretches for OOH advertising.

This is the first time Gurgaon will see organised media. All pages of the Website are subject to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any material on the Website for any commercial purposes.

Agent calls for Coast suburbs to join Logan Local Gold Coast News

Agent calls for Coast suburbs to join Logan Local Gold Coast News Agent calls for Coast suburbs to join Logan Local Gold Coast News

THE Gold Coast top real estate agent has sparked controversy by suggesting the city would be better off if its northern suburbs became part of Logan.

The debate began yesterday with an off-the-cuff remark on Twitter by Luke Henderson, a director of John Henderson Professionals Mermaid Beach.

Mr Henderson was recently ranked as the Gold Coast top real estate agent in a list compiled by real estate industry trade magazine Real Estate Business and RPData.

He posted on the social media site: The GC has a bad rep for crime but it all at northern end. I call for a boundary change. Cut it from the GC and call it South Logan.

Mr Henderson said it was a personal opinion but jettisoning the north would help restore the Gold Coast reputation.

Have your say on the feedback form below

People hear about crime and they begin to think the Gold Coast is not a safe place, he said.

We need tourists and visitors to know the bulk of the Gold Coast is a safe place -- most of the crime happens in the north.

When people think of the Gold Coast they think of Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh -- not Coomera.

Many people don even know it part of the Gold Coast.

Coomera councillor and Deputy Mayor Donna Gates leapt to the defence of her region.

The northern growth area is the city engine room, she said.

It is foolish and illogical to even consider sending the industry, jobs and potential rates to Logan.

I am sure Logan would be happy to have it but there is no way we are parting with one bit.

Official police statistics show that despite many of the city most notorious crimes taking place in the Coomera Police District, it recorded lower crime rates than the Gold Coast Police District during 2010-11.

The Coomera district is about seven times larger than the Gold Coast district, includes Hope Island and Nerang and spans as far west as Rathdowney.

In 2010-11 there were 42 armed robberies in Coomera district and 119 at Gold Coast, 1751 break and enters in Coomera and 4280 on the Gold Coast and 1245 drug offences in Coomera compared to 4003 on the Gold Coast.

The mall will offer advertisers approximately 12,000 sq. ft of advertising space

Recovering from tough times, individuals and families are back in action at entertainment spots, restaurants and especially malls. The mall culture in India has taken off tremendously, with one being launched after another not only in the major metros but in the smaller cities as well.

Gurgaons Ambience Mall, which stretches for a kilometer and spans an area of 1.8 millon sq. ft, offers shoppers mind boggling opportunities. The Great India Place in Noida also covers a whopping area of 1.5 million sq. ft. Joining the big boys is Bengalurus own Mantri Square mall, spanning an area of 1.3 million sq. ft, which is scheduled to open on March 1.

Discussing the partnership, Jonathan Yach, head, mall management, Mantri Developers, says, One of the reasons we chose Accord to partner us on this venture was because we saw synergies in its approach and ours, where it offers its customers the best service with a customisation and innovation at every step of approach.

The mall consists of a six screen Inox multiplex and department stores such as Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Lifestyle, Marks Spencer and Reliance Trends and will also be anchored by a Spar Hypermarket. There will also be a wide range of standalone stores of popular brands in categories such as fashion, apparel, jewellery, footwear, home d cor, electronics and more. A food court with a seating capacity of 750, offering a wide range of national and international cuisines, a gaming zone and restaurants are the other attractions.

The Mantri Square team expects a whopping footfall of 1.5 million people per month, which will consist mainly of SEC A and B audiences. In terms of area, the mall will offer a total advertising space of about approximately 12,000 sq. ft.

Of course, within such large spaces, brands usually clamour for attention. Accord Advertising, to complement the overall look and positioning of the mall, has been working closely with the design team of Mantri Square to create a wide range of advertising opportunities.

Accord will offer different kinds of advertising platforms to advertisers, including digital, LEDs, static signages inside and outside and promotional event spaces in the mall premises.

Anil Kannambille, co-founder, Accord Advertising, tells afaqs!, For the first time, we have installed state-of-the-art 3M thin light displays and also an LED display at the food court. The events going on at the mall will be aired live and will invite audiences to be part of these. This will also be supported by Bluetooth networking.

Its only a matter of time before mall rats and advertisers targeting them come raining in. All pages of the Website are subject to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any material on the Website for any commercial purposes.

Adelaide recycling machine that dispenses cash

Adelaide recycling machine that dispenses cash Adelaide recycling machine that dispenses cash

Since The Green Machine was launched a week ago at Centro Hollywood shopping centre, Salisbury Downs, thousands of cans and bottles have travelled down its sorting chute to be recycled.

Keep South Australia Beautiful executive director John Phillips said reverse vending machines were already popular in Europe.

This is about recycling in the 21st century, Mr Phillips said. South Australians strongly embrace deposits on beverage containers and as our lifestyle and product range continues to grow, new technology was only a matter of time.

Container deposit legislation has been successful in reducing litter in SA and, following raising the deposit from 5c to 10c, we have seen increased recycling levels that are the envy of the nation.

Mr Phillips said the reverse vending machine would be in place at Salisbury Downs for at least a three-month trial.

This is quite a focused trial, its aimed at people who arent able to transport larger quantities of bottles and cans and who want a quick return of their money, he said.

James Rideout, 13, of Paralowie, is a regular user.

Its 100 per cent fun to use, putting the bottles in is fun, said James, who walks the short distance from his home with a couple of bags at a time.

I never used to help mum with the recycling but now she doesnt even have to ask me.

James is saving the money he earns to buy a car.

Im saving up to buy a Magna. Ive already got about $50 from recycling here but I spent it so Ill have to start saving again, he said.

Steven Price, of Statewide Recycling, which operates the recycling unit, has been on hand to help users get the hang of the new system.

Its a matter of training the public with how to use the machine, Mr Price said.

For example, you cant put crushed cans in the machine.

The machine identifies and sorts items by reading their barcodes, but even with 1200 different products programmed in, items that it doesnt recognise are spat out.

People have to be a little bit patient while we work it all out, Mr Price said. Theyve been very good so far.

The reverse vending machine trial is a joint partnership between Centro Hollywood Shopping Centre, Statewide Recycling and reverse vending machine manufacturer Wincor Nixdorf.

If it continues to be successful here it will be rolled out to other shopping centres in the state, Mr Price said.

But SA still got a long way to go in the vending machine stakes. Japan has many quirky vending machines, including those that dispense eggs, umbrellas and toilet paper.

Some of these are pretty fancy with a space just for a bottle of wine and a nice little board for cutting and serving cheese. You can find these that are pre-packed with a small wine key and 2 glasses as well. These are something that certain people really like to have and will keep for ages.

The bags that you choose for your business should make sense for the type of business that you have. If you sell jewelry then a big canvas shopping tote would not make much sense. There are enough bags to choose from that any sort of business can find something that will both be handy and that will remind people to come back again and visit for more excellent shopping.

FORTUNE Magazine AS SLEEK 1986 CARS rolled out of the factories in November, the air bag lobby -- consumer groups, insurance companies like State Farm, and air bag suppliers -- had plenty to cheer about. Im thinking about declaring victory and retiring from the field, says Clarence Ditlow, director of Ralph Naders Center for Auto Safety. Ford is offering an air bag as an $815 option on its new Tempo and Topaz compact cars; it hopes 12,000 or so buyers will order them. Rumors have been flying around Washington that BMW and Volvo are ready to jump on the air bag bandwagon. What once looked like a loophole in a federal regulation requiring so-called passive restraints -- air bags or automatic seat belts -- now looks like a noose to Detroits Big Three. by 1989, beginning with 10% of the 1987 fleets. total enacted mandatory seat belt laws that met her guidelines. Hoping to take advantage of the loophole, Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler pushed hard for state seat belt laws, coordinating their efforts through an industry lobbying group known as Traffic Safety Now. Thus far 16 states with more than half the countrys population -- they include New York and Illinois -- have passed the laws. More states are expected to act next year. But, says a Detroit lobbyist, not one of the 16 states has passed a law that really meets Doles criteria. For example, Nevada made its mandatory seat belt law conditional upon the federal governments raising the 55-mph speed limit in uncongested areas. Thats how to get hung with a loophole.

Air Asia X Premium Economy

Air Asia X Premium Economy Air Asia X Premium Economy

Where to: Gold Coast-Kuala Lumpur-Delhi return.

Review: British Airways business class

Set-up: Business class quality flatbeds in a 12-seat cabin at the pointy end of the A330/300 wide-body airbus. Two rows of six seats. With so few seats, its nice and quiet.

How much: AAX is a point to-point airline so instead of buying a complete ticket, each sector is purchased individually and often quoted in Malaysian ringits which may be confusing. Gold Coast-Kuala Lumpur from $789, Melbourne to KL from $839, and Perth from $589, including taxes. KL-D from $242. From October 1, AAX is adding connected tickets. Big tick for that.

Check-in: Priority check-in and 20kg baggage allowance, compared to 15kg in Economy. Check-in takes two minutes tops.

Seats: The pitch space between your seat and the one in front is 188cm. The seat is considered flat at 190 degrees. Theres still a slight slope from hip to toe. The seat can be adjusted, from head to toe, in multiple slight movements to find the aahhh factor thats right for you. For seat cushion comfort, Ive only got Qantas business class flatbeds to compare it to, but my bum didnt go numb in AAX.

Inflight entertainment: Portable media players are available for $11 a sector. A limited number is also available in Economy. Otherwise, bring a book.

Service: Bottled water, real pillows with pillowcases, and blankets are distributed free. The pre-booked meals are available earlier than in Economy. You can buy inflatable pillow and blanket packs in Economy. Extra bedding is available free of charge in Premium Economy. The drinks and snacks, and the duty free goods carts will also roll through Premium Economy first. The toilet in Premium Economy is exclusive.

Food and drinks: The same choice in Economy and Premium Economy. The pre-booked hot meal was stark on the tray without even a bread roll or piece of fruit. The international meal looked uninspiring chicken, diced vege on my flight, but the Asian food was great.

Chicken biryani had balanced spicy flavours with perfectly cooked basmati rice. An egg sandwich I bought later was moist and fresh. Beer, red and white wines were available to buy. Child passengers get by far the best deal with creative meal packs containing lots of little treats, including healthy ones.

At the other end: The curtain between the cabin and Economy remained closed while Premium Economy passengers disembarked. A calm exit, rather than that mad jostle to grab overhead luggage, was appreciated. Our bags appeared on the carousel first - another plus.

Value for money: For the price of an economy ticket on other airlines, youre getting the basics of business class comfort. Whats not to like? With the airline taking out Economy seats to allow for the upgraded seats, Premium Economy is now available on 10 AAX routes.

Afro Curly Hair and Choosing the Right Products Accessories

Afro Curly Hair and Choosing the Right Products Accessories Afro Curly Hair and Choosing the Right Products Accessories

Not only do brittle curls cause breakage, but so do certain styling accessories. For years, I used to routinely wear a flat metal clip for a ponytail or bun style and I often wondered why in that exact place, where I snapped the clip closed, this area of my hair was shorter than the rest. At first I thought my hair just grew that way, but one day, I lost my clips and was too cheap to buy more. So I needed to figure out another style for a while, and noticed my hair started to grow back in that area. Sometimes we can be using accessories that are hurting our hair and because weve always used them, we dont even think about it.

When I transitioned to being natural, there were a lot of styling practices that I carried over from my relaxed hair days. These practices were bad before and even worse now for my natural fro. For example, I didnt cover my hair at night. I thought I didnt have to, because I could sleep on it, and still comb through it the next day, but not so with natural hair. Now, if I dont moisturize, twist up and put a cap on my curly fro for the night, my hair will rub up against other hair and create a beehive of knots and tangles which will not be sorted out by the time I have to get to work the next day unless there is a scissor involved.

Effective natural hair products and accessories also reduce curl to curl friction. I know the phrase sounds bizarre, but researchers have found that when a hairs cuticle layers rub up against each other, there can be lifting of the cuticles causing damage. Remember we dont even want to see the cortex of your hair strand. Thats not healthy hair.

And curls know this interaction really well, because they just naturally intertwine. When hair isnt set and covered during the night, hair will rub against other hair and your pillow causing knots, damage and the beginnings of fractured hair.

Picking the right products and accessories then using them appropriately is definitely important for afro curly hair growth. While styling products work differently for each curl, I will test some products by integrating them into my current routine and will see what happens. I know that Id like to try some products like emu oil. My last relaxer involved a chemical burn near the area of my temples and hair doesnt live there anymore, but emu oil may be able to help that. So I think Ill try that one first and share the results.

First things first. The all-new Audi Allroad is ready to take on all roads, and it does so confidently and in style.

But theres a reason they called it the Allroad, not the Offroad. Oh, it has stainless steel skid plates and 180.3 millimetres of clearance, but this is a timid creature if youre talking boulders and serious off-road terrain. It has no low-range gearing or hill descent control. Even Audi folks would shrug at the thought of getting too daring.

This is the second go-round for the Allroad. More than a decade ago, it was a little more rugged, had adjustable air suspension and was based on the A6. This time its based on the A4 and sports a smaller engine. No more 300-hp V-8 or even the 250-hp V-6.

But it is as quick and bold as the V-6. Each Allroad comes with a turbocharged 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Thats good for a zero-to-60 run of around 6.6 seconds. Not bad for a multiple-surface vehicle.

It is mated to a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic and Audis superb Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Replacing Audis A4 Avant wagon from last year, the 2013 Allroad comes with some new perks. First, the five-passenger Allroad is bigger - 63.5 millimetres taller, and a bit wider and longer, too. That contributes to more cargo space inside and improved handling.

Second, its clean, classy interior is perhaps the best in its class. More on that in a minute.

The Allroad is surprisingly fun to drive, even sporty. There is good feedback from the new electric-boosted steering, and road feel is decent, too. more body roll.

Acceleration is eager from the stoplight and in the passing lane. Go for the optional Drive Select system and you get improved steering, throttle and tranny response.

The ride is on the firmer side but not so much that a long ride has everyone grumbling for rest stops.

What will keep everyone - including the driver - really happy is on the inside. In a word, its luxurious.

The materials are top-of-the-line and the fit is exquisite.

Leather-trimmed upholstery is standard and the seats are supportive - especially in the lumbar region - and comfortable for the long ride.

The graphics in the nav system are among the best in the business. All the functions are easily accessed near the shift lever.

And the whole system is sensible and user friendly.

Visibility is good all around. And so is storage, with 1,444 litres with the rear seats folded down but still an adequate 481 litres with passengers seated in the second row.

OK, the Allroad is beginning to sound good to you. Well, now you have some decisions to make. It comes in three aptly-named trims, the Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige.

Premium gets 18-inch wheels, eight-way power seats leather, of course with four-way power lumbar, plus 10-speaker audio and a package of Bluetooth and iPod. bi-xenon headlamps and LED running lamps.

Move up to the Premium Plus and get a power liftgate, driver memory functions and three-zone climate.

The Prestige adds adaptive headlamps, keyless ignition, blind-spot warning and 14-speaker Bang Olufsen audio.

The navigation system, optional on the Plus and standard on the Prestige, includes rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and Audi /Connect Web services.

And a Sport package for the Premium Plus gets better bolstered seats, 12-way power seats and paddle shifters on a three-spoke wheel.

For safety, beyond the optional adaptive headlamps, blind-spot warnings and parking assistance, Allroad has ABS, stability and traction control and side bags with side-curtain air bags for front seat passengers. Rear seat air bags are optional.

Uxbal, a man maybe in his late 40s, runs rackets on the streets of Barcelona. He is the middle-man between African street-sellers and the Chinese-run basement factory which churns out the knock-off handbags and other goods they peddle.

He pays off the cops for his street peddlers, and the Chinese entrepreneur. He also has a little sideline at funerals: he has a gift of hearing the whispers of the newly dead whose souls still linger. He knows how to hear them and release them.

He has two kids whom he fathers himself, and a fragile, brittle estranged wife with a difficult affliction which makes her unstable. And, quite early, he is given a death sentence: he has cancer, has ignored symptoms and has only a month or two to live.

Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu made Amores Perros, and then 21 Grams and Babel. The success of Amores Perros, with its intersecting story-lines and narratives, led to bigger budgets and big-name actors, but the results in Babel, for example, did not always mesh together. Despite tremendous, significant moments, these films felt overcooked and overheated.

Inarritu is drawn to social pressure-cooker locations where cultures meld and clash. Biutiful, his first film with a single-strand narrative, is set in Barcelona, but this is not the Barcelona of Woody Allen. Its set in the backstreets of a neighbourhood called Santa Coloma, historically a neighbourhood marked by immigrants to the city, and by poverty. The camera is on him almost all the time, and it is his point of view we see in this quite long film. Its his gaze we follow to the damp stains of the ceiling, to his reveries with the dead, anxiously scrutinising his children at the end of a day when he has left them in unreliable care.

All performances are good: as his troubled ex-wife Marambra, we have Argentine actor and choreographer Maricel Alverez, who brings depth, dignity and longing to her role. The sound design, and the music become unrelenting, crude and over the top, as he pounds into us what he wants us to feel at each point. Such a pity. His instincts to explore each character are good ones: each has his story. But the bombast nearly swamps the fine performances he has here.

Abbotsford MLA joins independents for reform plan

Van Dongen said this is one reason he decided to sit as an independent in 2012.

Van Dongen held a press conference on Wednesday with two other independents, Cariboo North MLA Bob Simpson and Delta South MLA Vicki Huntington. voters have had enough of bags of cash, instant party memberships, and corporate and union donations influencing their provincial affairs.

Van Dongen said the main point is that MLAs should have more room for independent thought and vote, without being tied to party lines. He told The News that backbenchers are often forced to behave like trained seals, and should have more freedom to act on behalf of constituents.

The group is calling for reforms to party financing and a meaningful role for backbench MLAs. Liberal members supporting Premier Christy Clarks leadership bid turned out to be a cat, and NDP leader Adrian Dix won his leadership contest with the help of bulk memberships delivered at the voting deadline along with bags of cash to cover the $10 NDP membership fee.

Simpson said he will ask the government to consider at least the switch to fall voting in the spring session, which starts Feb. 12 with a throne speech.

Van Dongen said the provincial issues outlined in the reform agenda are ones that resonate with voters in Abbotsford. With the election upcoming, he thinks people across the province will look favourably at independent candidates and the need for change.

A United States agency has upgraded its investigation into 2.8 million DaimlerChrysler AG minivans whose air bags may not deploy in crashes. At least 164 people have issued complaints about the clockspring assembly, the system providing electricity for the driver side air bag.

The investigation involves 1996 through 2000 models of the Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager and Chrysler Town and Country.

The complainants say the air bag readiness indicator lamp came one but the horn or cruise control did not work. According to a preliminary report by the National Hightway Traffic Safety Administration, the air bags would probably not work either.

Newly elected Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will face several challenges on Monday, one of which will be to face off against the prime minister in question period as MPs return to Ottawa after a two-week stretch in their ridings.

Air bags may save lives in car crashes, but increasingly, theyre becoming safety problems themselves -- at least when it comes to an increasing frequency of recalls.

Already this year, Honda and Toyota have launched air bag-related recalls covering 1.5 million vehicles. That follows a record year for recalls involving air bags -- 22 spread across 18 brands in 2012.

The problems dont appear to be that air bags are any worse than theyve ever been. Rather, there are more of them being packed into cars. Theyre in new places and are more sophisticated. Together, those factors add up to more recalls, and more vehicles affected -- since 2011, air bag recalls have involved nearly 7.75 million vehicles, more than the previous eight years combined.

Its a complex system, and that complexity implies more components, says Honda spokesman Chris Martin.

Theres no debate about air bags effectiveness. A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study found that air bags saved 2,788 lives in one sample year. At issue is whether theyll inflate when theyre supposed to, or whether theyll cause injuries on their own.

That was the fear with Hondas recall last month. It recalled 748,481 vehicles -- 2009 to 2013 model year Pilot SUVs and 2011 to 2013 Odyssey minivans -- for missing rivets on an air bag cover. The driver could be hurt if the air bag deploys when all six rivets arent in place.

Toyotas recall of 887,709 vehicles -- 2003 and 2004 Toyota Corollas, Matrixes and Pontiac Vibes -- centered on a circuit board that can short out due to interference from other electric components. If that happens, the automaker warns in its filing to regulators, an air bag could accidentally deploy.

While both problems were caught by engineers before they could injure passengers, thats not always the case. In recalling 744,822 Jeeps last November, Chrysler Group noted 126 inadvertent air bag deployments caused 59 minor injuries in 2002 to 2003 Libertys and 89 deployments caused 22 minor injuries in 2002 to 2004 Grand Cherokees. The problem involved faulty circuit boards.

Air bags inflating without a crash is one problem, when detectors that are supposed to sense a crash trigger the air bags, says Sean Kane of Safety Research Strategies. Sometimes, bags inflate prematurely, then deflate before a person is cushioned.

At the same time, automakers are making complex air bag systems. Theyre:

?¢ Adding more. Automakers continue to pack them in. The 2013 Dodge Dart has 10. Toyotas newest RAV4 crossover has eight.

?¢ Finding new places. General Motors has the first front-center air bags in the 2013 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia to keep the driver and front-seat passenger from colliding in a crash. Toyota has the first rear air bag to protect back-seat passengers in a rear-end crash in the tiny Scion iQ.

?¢ Incorporating new technology. Fords Lincoln unit is putting inflating seat belts in the rear of its 2013 MKZ sedan and MKT SUV. They put an air bag in a shoulder belt to better distribute forces.

Advantages of the clear bags and foil bags

Plastic though being cheap and easily available is one of the substitutes of paper. Paper at its own place has many reward able uses but plastic is also not lagging behind. In each and every field you go you will require a plastic product. They have their applications in several industries like agriculture, apparel, bakery, dry cleaning, hardware, electronics, fish food, hosiery, hotels, house wares, shipping and the list is on and on. Thus on one hand you can say plastic is the basic necessity of any industries.

Plastic bags are non biodegradable, thus they do not decompose when thrown as waste causing pollution. More over they are also not reusable, once being used bags have to be thrown away. Due to such disadvantages the use of such bags is decreasing nowadays. Plastic though available in different sizes and colors, transparent and clear bags are still in demand. The brand name can be printed easily and can be highlighted on such clear bags and are thus preferred by the shopkeepers. Another nice thing about such bags is that they are highly durable. Care has not to be taken when one is using such bags for packaging. When we are talking about packaging how can foil bags be left behind? When worrying about the kind of material to use for packing food material, the foil bag is usually the hottest deal. This bag has been used for a longer period of time and has been proved effective in conserving the product. They are quite plain and are usually liked by people who dont go for different materials. Just to add something spicy to such bags aroma can be added that looks great and unique. There are numerous kinds of patterns on the bags which make them trendy.

Foil bags are also used to pack coffee beans, nuts, loose- tea leaves and ground mixes among others. This is one of the eye catching ways to demonstrate product. Similarly clear bags are also used for wrapping up the things. Crystal clear bags come with self-adhesive peel-off sealing strips and are very useful even in household purposes. The market for online whole sale selling of such bags is also in fashion now. Clear bags are great for wrapping photos and matted art images because they are acid free. Clear bags are packed for easy dispensing from boxes. No handling problems arise when you are using such bags.

New Delhi, Sept 2: Indias exports realisation soured by 132 per cent, with the ASEAN region taking a lead recording a growth of 257 per cent between the fiscal 2000-01 and 2006-07, an industry body Assocham said.

According to an analysis on regionwise exports by Assocham, Africas share also rose by 198 per cent, while that of WANA West Asia and North Africa and Latin America increased by 197 per cent and 193 per cent respectively.

Exports grew by 183 per cent and 158 per cent respectively in South and North Asia region, while a 117 per cent hike was seen in exports in the European Union along with a 84 per cent increase in North America.

An early signing of the Free Trade Agreement FTA with ASEAN could accelerate the export growth by nearly 500 per cent, while the African share could go over 350 per cent by 2010 with a little more focus, Assocham President Venugopal N Dhoot said.

The top five products that recorded a whooping exports growth for the ASEAN region include precious and semi-precious stones, mineral fuels, mineral oils and waxes besides residues and waste from the food industries, nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances and electrical machineries.

The analysis says that highest exports to ASEAN were because semi and precious stones exports alone rose by 400 per cent from 2000-01 to 2006-07, along with a similar rise in organic chemicals.

Exports of mineral fuels and mineral waxes and mineral oils also rose significantly 2,462.94 million dollars from 4.43 million dollars.

The rise of African regions share to Indias focussed export programme. If the programme is further accelerated, this region can yield export realisations to the tune of 350 per cent from about 198 per cent in 2006, said Mr Dhoot.

The top five products exported to Africa include pharmaceuticals, cotton, nuclear reactors, boilers, mechanical appliances, vehicles and railway wagons along with rolling stock.

Indias exports to WANA and Latin America rose due to the large demand for Indian organic chemicals, pharmaceutical products, apparel and clothing, vehicles, rolling stocks and cotton, said Mr Dhoot.

Indian products were found to be much more competitive in these two regions without an intensive focus for export acceleration.

In Latin America, particularly, the growth for pharmaceutical products exports rose to 220.94 million dollars in 2006 from 17.38 million dollars in 2000, while vehicles and rolling stocks registered a growth of 291.3 million dollars from 83.24 million dollars.

South and North Asian share grew by 183 per cent and 158 per cent, which is significant because China is very close to this region and its export monopoly continues.

Despite that, India has made a significant dent in these two regions, where the top five products include exported comprised fish and other aquatics, ores and slags, organic chemicals, cotton and stones and semi-precious stones, said Mr Dhoot.

The analysis said that India will continue to give a tough competition to China and other countries in the region for increased exports in South and North Asia.

Indias export growth in the European Union was to the extent of 157 per cent only with the major exported products including apparel and clothing, leather, leather products, handbags, electrical machinery, equipment and knitted products.

India did not do too well for still higher export realisation in the EU is because of the SPS measures, which in case of all European countries are very stringent and proved to be biased against Indian products for export purposes, said Mr Dhoot.

The exports to North America rose by a meagre 84 per cent, as it has proved to be a traditional export market for Indian exports and their growth will remain gradually in it for many years, says the analysis..

Parenting Skills Training for ADHD

Parenting Skills Training provides parents with tools and techniques in order to manage their child behavior. For example, immediately rewarding good behavior with praise, tokens or points that can be exchanged for special privileges. Desirable and undesirable behavior is identified in advance by parents and/or teachers. Parents can try using when the child becomes too unruly, but also sharing enjoyable quality time each day.

Through this system, the child behavior can often be effectively modified. They can be taught how to ask politely for objects rather than grabbing them, or to complete a simple task from start to finish. The expected behavior is made clear to the child so the decision of whether to earn the reward or not is in their hands. The rewards should be something that the child truly wants, and with ADHD children they may need to be given more often than with other children. avoid allowing the child to get overstimulated, help the child divide large tasks into small steps, provide frequent and immediate rewards and punishment, set up a structure ahead of potentially problematic situations, and provide more supervision and encouragement during unrewarding or tedious situations.

The parents themselves can benefit from methods of stress management, including meditation, relaxation techniques and exercise.

Suggestions to help children with ADHD with organizing:

Have the same schedule every day, from the moment the child wakes up until they go to sleep. The routine includes homework time and playtime. Keep it written down somewhere prominent, like the refrigerator door or a noticeboard. Changes should be planned well in advance.

Use organizers for homework and other activities which need to be given thought. This will highlight the importance of writing assignments down, and gathering the necessary books.

Keep everyday items in the same place, so they are easily found, place for everything and everything in its place Include clothing, bags and school items.

When consistent rules are in place, the child with ADHD is more likely to understand and follow them, at which point small rewards can be given. This may work particularly well if the child has previously become used to criticism.

The better informed you are as a parent, the more effective advocate you can be for your child. Take advice on how ADHD affects your child life at school, and meet with teachers to discuss management techniques.

Either way, teachers need to be kept up to date when a child is being assessed, diagnosed, and treated for ADHD, including behavior modification therapies, medications or a combination of both.

If you are unsure whether ADHD is the problem, you can either ask the local school district to conduct an evaluation, or you may prefer to seek the services of an outside professional.

When requesting that that the school system evaluates your child, send a letter including the date, your and your child names, and the reason for requesting an evaluation, and keep a copy of the letter in your own files.

It is now the law that schools must conduct an evaluation for ADHD if one is requested. This is their legal obligation, but if the school refuses to evaluate your child, you can either get a private evaluation or enlist some help in negotiating with the school.

Help is often as close as a local parent group. Each state has a Parent Training and Information PTI center as well as a Protection and Advocacy P agency.

Following diagnosis, the child will qualify for special education services. This includes a joint assessment between the school and parents, of the child strengths and weaknesses. After the assessment, an Individualized Educational Program IEP will be drawn up, which will be regularly reviewed and approved.

The transition to a new school year can be difficult, bringing with it a new teacher and new schoolwork. Your child will need lots of support and encouragement at this time, so never forget you are your child best advocate.

A shoes and leather accessories brand, Urban Country will launch its collection in India by the month end.

Urban Country, a premium leather shoes and accessories brand, has appointed abm communication to handle its creative duties. The multi-agency pitch took place in Delhi.

Brand Urban Country is a part of the $20 million Suri Shoes group, one of the largest shoe manufacturers and exporters in India. The brand will launch its maiden collection in Delhi later this month.

Rakesh Suri, managing director, Urban Country, says that the agency was chosen for its right kind of skill pool. Suri adds that it expected the agency to create awareness of the brand and communicate to the young customers 25-40 years in a different manner.

The footwear segment is a much cluttered market. Hence, we want to communicate about our brand in a different way and create a niche in the market. We are confident abm communication will help us in creating our brand identity and in providing creative inputs in areas such as in-store signage, design, management of website, social media and the press, Suri says.

Suri explains that having exported footwear to Europe for two decades, the company did not know much about the Indian market. Then, it launched its mens formal footwear brand Tredflex in Europe, which received a lot of positive feedback. Encouraged, Suri Shoes decided to try its hand in the Indian market with Urban Country, which will not only have collections from Tredflex but also a range of formal footwear for women, besides accessories.

We did a market survey and got a feedback that there was a gap in the market. There was a need for formal footwear catering to professional men and women, who wanted the right kind of styling, and comfort that was value for money. Our styling and design originates from Europe, which we want to bring to India, he says.

The brand plans to have 6-7 stores by the end of the current financial year, Suri adds.

Explaining the immediate challenge, Abhijit Basu, managing director, abm communication, says that there are a lot of international brands currently in the market and many old brands are also doing well. However, the focus on corporate footwear is not that exciting. Basu claims that technology, superior quality and attractive price point will be the brands advantage in breaking away from the clutter.

We will build the brand from scratch. The focus of the brand is on corporate lifestyle, especially leather footwear and accessories. So, it is a niche product. Currently, we will help with the brand look, feel, value and even outlet designing. We are partly handling the digital requirements and will take care of on ground and gradually above-the-line activities, Basu says.

Suri Shoes has been exporting shoe uppers since 1987. All pages of the Website are subject to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any material on the Website for any commercial purposes.

Residents at the Reserve at Estero always have plenty of fun and interesting things to do, whether they are looking for physical activities, social events, creative hobbies or enrichment opportunities.

At the clubhouse - the heart of the community - there are water aerobics classes, led by resident Ann Simon, a retired physical education teacher and coach, as well as body sculpting, Zumba and Pilates. For those looking for an opportunity to get acquainted with their neighbors and have fun, there is a weekly game day in the library, Texas Hold Em nights, and a Friday evening social hour. The Book Club meets in the Clubhouse Card Room once a month.

The monthly community newsletter is always filled with things to do, said Kevin Brown, assistant vice president for Toll Brothers Florida West Division. It showcases all of the recreational and enrichment opportunities our residents enjoy each month. New activities are added regularly.

Residents often take the lead in organizing the activities, with a Social Network group that meets to discuss future events.

We meet regularly to brainstorm activities and events that will be of interest to the entire community, says Simon, who is also a member of the Social Network and editor of the monthly community newsletter. Everyone in the community is welcome to join in, and anyone may propose and help organize future activities and events.

The group chose to create the Social Network rather than a committee to provide a more flexible structure that was open to everyone, Simon explained.

As the Reserve at Estero has grown, the number and variety of events has grown as well. This season, the community held its second annual Art Show, featuring the works of artists and crafters who live at the Reserve at Estero, including a quilter, several artists working in acrylics, watercolors and charcoal, a stained glass artist, and a jewelry designer. A jewelry class proved so popular in its first year that it was repeated this fall. After reading The Orchid Thief, the Book Club was joined by other residents for a field trip to Corkscrew Swamp to continue learning about the native plants featured in the book. There is a monthly Ladies Luncheon, sampling the variety of Southwest Floridas restaurants.

There are still more activities on the calendar for the rest of the winter season, including line dancing, a cruise to Useppa Island, a fashion show with Patchingtons, and mens breakfasts.

Residents at the Reserve at Estero are also involved in many charitable activities. This past spring marked the third time a team joined the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure. In addition, residents have supported Project Hope, which creates tote bags for those newly diagnosed with cancer and includes information, pillows for support after surgery, and a crocheted or knitted shawl.

The communitys grand clubhouse offers a fitness center, community room, catering kitchen, aerobics room, game room, and billiards room. A resort-style swimming pool and spa with tropical landscaping, tennis courts, sports court, and a childrens playground with a wading pool provide outdoor recreational options.

Nine home designs are available at the Reserve at Estero, each with a choice of four exterior elevations. Eight designs offer a first-floor master suite.

To visit the Reserve at Estero from Interstate 75, take Exit 123, Corkscrew Road west to Three Oaks Parkway. Turn right and proceed north to Estero Parkway. Make a left, heading west. The Reserve at Estero will be on the right.

AFP expects more arrests over major bust

AFP expects more arrests over major bust AFP expects more arrests over major bust

Australias second major drug bust in a week, which netted $240 million worth of cocaine and methamphetamine in Sydney, shows the international reach of police work is greater than ever, federal police say.

The 350-kilogram haul had been shipped from China hidden inside a road roller and was being prepared for the local market when police swooped on five premises around Sydney last weekend.

The Australian Federal Police AFP arrested two foreign nationals over the bust - a 34-year-old Canadian, alleged to be the organiser and financier of the operation, and a 33-year-old US national, also suspected to be a major player in an international crime syndicate targeting Australia.

The syndicate has been the target of an AFP investigation for more than two years, and the agency says more arrests could follow in Australia and overseas.

The AFP says its international co-operation and intelligence efforts are paying off.

This is the second multi-million-dollar seizure inside a week, AFP acting national manager for serious and organised crime David Sharpe told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.

In the last five months the AFP and partners have seized in excess of 2.3 tonnes of narcotics.

Last week, the AFP seized 204 kilograms of cocaine found - along with the body of a crewman - aboard a yacht that ran aground in Tonga.

The AFP was acting on a tip-off from the US Drug Enforcement Agency that the suspect vessel had departed Ecuador en route for Australia.

The latest operation, codenamed Pendine, involved a complex investigation launched in July 2010, based on intelligence obtained in Australia that an international organised crime syndicate was planning a major drug importation.

On September 21, the AFP identified a shipping container - carrying a 20-tonne road roller of the type used to compact gravel and bitumen - on a vessel arriving at Port Botany from China.

After the search warrants were executed on Saturday and Sunday, police found the roller inside a storage unit in the northern Sydney suburb of Warriewood.

They also found equipment used to dismantle the machine and 13 sports bags containing compressed blocks of drugs - 235kg of methamphetamine worth an estimated $174 million and 115kg of cocaine worth $63 million. Also seized was $150,000 in cash.

The two men appeared in Sydney Central Local Court on Monday and were remanded in custody.

Both face charges of importing commercial quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, which carry maximum life imprisonment penalties.

The US national was also charged with dealing in the proceeds of crime.

Assistant Commissioner Sharpe said the AFPs global network was constantly improving, and organised crime syndicates should be looking over their shoulders.

This seizure sends a clear message to criminals that no matter how long it takes, how complex or innovative the concealment method, global law enforcement is joining forces to stop the importation of illicit drugs into Australia.
